We are your inclusion partner.

We believe that every organization can be an inclusive organization, and we are here to meet you where you are, help you discover your needs, and work with you to craft a path forward that is designed for you.

The Huckel Inclusive team is here to set you on a path toward inclusion, innovation, and success. There is no such thing as one-size-fits-all when it comes to diversity and inclusion. Your organization has a unique set of needs and requires a unique plan.

Let us help you with:

  • Organizational Needs Assessment — We take a people-focused, data-driven approach that begins with facilitated discussions, focus groups, staff surveys, and more to determine your unique needs.

  • Strategic Planning — We work with organizational leaders to create short-term, intermediate, and long-term goals, and we build a clear, actionable path to achieve those goals.

  • Curriculum Development — We assist your Human Resources and Organizational Development experts to create an inclusive curriculum designed to build teams, enhance cultural competence for inclusion, and encourage healthy engagement.

We help organizational leaders become diversity champions.

We are here to:

  • Provide one-on-one education and dialogue

  • Be a sounding board for questions, concerns, and new ideas

  • Guide leaders to innovative solutions, greater engagement, and improved outcomes.

We develop educational opportunities to meet the unique needs of your organization.

  • Diversity Training — We provide learning sessions (workshops and webinars), to educate employees about diversity—all of our differences—and the importance of inclusion, and to build the cultural competency required to mitigate the impact of bias. Trainings are designed with you in mind, but may include:

    • Building an Antiracist Framework

    • Bystander Intervention and Speaking Up to Microaggressions

    • Creating LGBTQ+ Inclusion

    • Gender Diversity and Transgender Inclusion

    • Unpacking Implicit Bias

    • Unpacking Whiteness

  • Train-the-Trainer/LGBTQ+ Basics — We equip your in-house facilitators to maintain an inclusive atmosphere through on-going education. Based on our “Creating LGBTQ+ Inclusion” learning session, this Train-the-Trainer program provides both an introduction to the LGBTQ+ community, as well as the tools to effectively share that learning with others.

  • Diversity Council Facilitation — We work with emerging diversity councils to establish a people-centered framework for increased engagement. Make sure your diversity council is modeling inclusive leadership and facilitation by getting them the support they need!

Our Listening Sessions are designed to engage allies from normative cultures—those that drive the culture of the building, whose experiences and identities are viewed as the ‘norm’—in discussions about diversity efforts, learning session topics, and current events.

When to schedule a learning session?

  • When building a strategic plan — inclusion means everyone, so an effective strategy will engage everyone. One way to engage white, straight, and cisgender allies is to host listening sessions where they can share their ideas, questions, and concerns.

  • When holding learning sessions — Pairing learning sessions (trainings and webinars) with a listening session can help allies fully integrate new material and address any underlying questions or concerns immediately—before they inadvertently derail efforts to build inclusion.

  • When current events turn eyes toward diversity — Current events undoubtedly impact employees. An organization that is committed to inclusion can use local, national, and global events to foster an atmosphere where connection, collaboration, and exploration of different perspectives is encouraged. Listening sessions are a great way to engage those perspectives thoughtfully.

In addition to learning sessions in LGBTQ+ cultural competency, Huckel Inclusive will guide you to full LGBTQ+ Inclusion in three key ways:

  • Policy Review — We will review your current HR policies and provide a line-by-line report of suggested changes to support LGBTQ+ employees.

  • Transition Guidelines — We will draft transition guidelines to support transgender staff and will provide training to HR reps to ensure all transgender staff are treated with dignity and respect.

  • HRC’s Corporate Equality Index Review — We will create a step-by-step plan by which your organization can achieve a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index.
